We are proud to be the first bookstore in America to have had a signing for Kathryn Stockett’s The Help after she left her home town of Atlanta (that host was A Cappella Books, owned by Frank Reiss). This video was shot before we purchased our High Definition camera we used for Pat Conroy and Fannie Flagg (check our Facebook page) but you can still enjoy seeing and hearing the author reading the Mississippi ladies’ parts and her best friend, Octavia Spencer representing “The Help”. Yes, the very same Octavia Spencer who stars in the movie as “Minny”.
All who attended our “Coming Out Party”, as well as all members of our Signed First Editions Club paid $24.95 for their signed first edition which is now going in some places a little north of a cool grand.
