Tom Franklin |

Tom Franklin's first book, Poachers, won the Edgar, signifying the nation's best short stories. The new trade soft cover edition was named by the independent booksellers of America as the Number One Book Sense paperback title. His first novel, Hell at the Breech, is a mesmerizing and unforgettable display of talent by a writer of immeasurable gifts.
Tom's latest novel is Smonk. In turns hilarious, violent, bawdy and terrifying, Smonk creates its own category: It's a southern, not a western, peopled with corrupt judges and assassins, a cuckolded blacksmith, Christian deputies, widows, War veterans, whores, witches, madmen and zombies.
Tom was born and raised in Dickinson and has taught at The University of South Alabama. He is married to the poet Beth Ann Fennelly.
We frequently have signed copies of Tom Franklin's books.
