Frank Turner Hollon

What is it about the South that causes great writers to spring forth in such great abundance? Do you think the nebulous ether that many 19th century scientists said explained the mysteries of the cosmos has something to do with it? Not likely, but there's no mystery about the origins of Frank Turner Hollon's gift as a writer. Quite simply, he is a very intelligent man who has "cultivated his garden" to the highest level of creativity and stylistic grace.

Frank's most recent book is Blood ad Circumstance. He is also the author of The Point of Fracture, Life is a Strange Place, A Thin Difference, The God File, The Pains of April and a children's book, Glitter Girl and the Crazy Cheese. Frank Turner Hollon graduated from Louisiana Tech University and Tulane Law School. He lives with his wife and family in Baldwin County, Alabama, where he continues to practice law. Frank's newest works are The Wait and Austin and Emily.

Rick Bragg in the Movies

Even though you weren’t able to attend the September 26, 2011, sold-out world premiere of Alabama’s Rick Bragg: Out of the Dirt, here’s your opportunity to view the entire movie at home, as well as much bonus footage not seen in the original documentary.

Listen in on distinguished Alabamaians, local friends and family tell inside tales on Rick as a child and award-winning best-selling author. Rick also gives his life’s philosophy in many scenes. Find out about his mother’s poetry; hear his aunt tell of dressing him as a girl when he was a tot. If ever there was a priceless gift, this is it.
