Judith Paterson was born in Montgomery and now teaches Journalism at The University of Maryland. She has been published in The New York Times Book Review, The Los Angeles Times and The Village Voice. Her acclaimed memoir, Sweet Mystery: A Book of Remembering, was called "tender, excruciating and compelling" by none other than Harper Lee.
