FUGITIVES OF THE HEART is a coming-of-age story set in Depression era Tennessee, with characters and gorgeous language reminiscence of Mark Twain. There are two distinguishing features of this work: one is that it was discovered after the death of the author and the other is that our owner and founder, Jake Reiss calls it, "one of the best books I've ever read".

THIS COPY (shown below) was hand signed by Sonny Brewer (who wrote the Foreword) and Michael White (who wrote the Postscript) on the title page at our store on pub date.
