SEA PRAYER is a moving tale for all ages of a father telling his son about the memories of his own youth in Syria while they wait on a beach for the boat that will take them to their new home. The author will be donating all of his proceeds from the sale of the book to the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Fund, and his own Khaled Hosseini Foundation, which is dedicated to funding relief efforts for refugees around the world.
THIS COPY (shown below) was signed by Khaled Hosseini on a page bound into the book. It is a new, unread, unsigned first edition. Published in September, 2018 by Riverhead Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
KHALED HOSSEINI (pictured below from our Wall of Fame) is one of our all-time favorites. When he visited Birmingham for And the Mountains Echoed, we chastised the audience of more than six-hundred that when we hosted him for The Kite Runner about twenty-five people showed up. The point is that you should take every opportunity to meet an author, even if they all may not spend two hundred weeks on The New York Times best-seller list, as did this one. His books are available in seventy countries, and have sold more than forty million copies. Khaled Hosseini was named a Goodwill Envoy for the United Nations and created The Khaled Hosseini Foundation to assist children in need around the world. Thank you Khaled Hosseini for signing our books.
