TREEBORNE is the story of Janie Treeborne, the caretaker of an orchard in the small Alabama town of Elberta, which finds itself under threat from outsiders. Janie responds the only way she knows how: by telling the stories of her family, both the wonderful and the heartbreaking.

CALEB JOHNSON is an Alabama native and a graduate of the University of Alabama. His work has appeared in the Southern Foodways Alliance's magazine as well as the Paris Review. This is his first novel.
