book content

CHIKA is the moving story of a girl born in Haiti just days after the island received a devestating blow from an earthquake in 2010. When her mother dies in childbirth three years later, she is sent to the Have Faith Orphanage run by Mitch Albom, where she delights and charms everyone she meets, including Albom and his wife. At five, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and the Alboms brought her to the US for treatment, but ended up adopting the child and falling in love with her as they fought to save her young life.

THIS COPY was signed by Mitch Albom at his office on a page that was specially bound in the book and shipped to us.  It is a new, unread first edition, opened only for signing. Published in November, 2019 by Harper, an imprint of Harpercollins.
