FURIOUS HOURS tells the story of a little-known time in Harper Lee's life: after writing To Kill a Mockingbird, Lee intended to write her own In Cold Blood true crime thriller, and spent a year covering the trial of a preacher accused of murdering five members of his family to collect the insurance money. Cep also dives into the time Harper Lee spent working on the book, as well as examining the courtroom drama and the racial climate of the time.
