JUST KIDS ILLUSTRATED EDITION is the story of legendary musician Patti Smith and iconic photographer Robert Mapplethorpe's time together in New York City as struggling artists during the tumultuous period of the late 60s and early 70s. The original version won the 2010 National Book Award for nonfiction, and this updated version includes beautiful photography from people like Judy Linn, Kate Simon, and Harry Smith, as well as a new introduction written by Smith herself.
