TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is the most beloved book of the last hundred years. Although set in the American South during mid twentieth century, with a focus on race, it is a universal look at the lack of justice toward any group during any time period.
THIS COPY (shown below) was signed by Harper Lee in Birmingham on a bookplate in October, 2002. It is a new, unread first edition opened only for the bookplate. It is the fiftieth Anniversary edition with a replica of the original jacket inside a slipcase. This edition came out in July, 2010. Originally published in July, 1960.
HARPER LEE (pictured below from our Wall of Fame) passed away in February of 2016. She was Alabama's most prominent writer. To Kill A Mockingbird has become a standard in schools around the world.
