STATE OF WONDER is set in the wilds of the Amazon when a scientist with a large pharmaceutical company is sent to track down her mentor who has disappeared. The reader is led into the heart of darkness, and then through poison arrows, snakes and cannibals, and yet, the protagonist pushes on.


THIS COPY (shown below) was hand signed on the title page by Ann Patchett at the store. It is a new, unread first edition opened only for signing and comes with a certificate authenticating the signature. Published in June, 2011 by Harper, an imprint of HarperCollins.
