TWILIGHT OF THE GODS is the final volume of Ian W. Toll's Pacific War trilogy, beginning in July 1944 at the Honolulu Conference, where President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Pacific Theater commanders strategized the endgame of the war, and closes with the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that finally brought the terrible war to a close. Drawing from a wealth of rich archival sources and new material, Twilight of the Gods casts a penetrating light on the battles, grand strategic decisions and naval logistics that enabled the Allied victory in the Pacific.
