THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER AND HUCKLEBERRY FINN are two of the greatest novels in American literature, written by one of its most important authors, Mark Twain. This beautiful clothbound set of the two novels is a reprinting of the volumes published by Heritage Press in 1936 and feature the wonderful Norman Rockwell illustrations that were specially commissioned for the printing. The color plates are reproduced from new photos of Rockwell’s original paintings and this collection also features rarely seen preliminary sketches of Rockwell's paintings. The texts themselves are the unabridged and unedited versions from the first American editions, with updated type setting. The new introduction for the set is by Stephanie Haboush Plunkett, the deputy director and chief curator of the Norman Rockwell Museum, who also signed.
